Just in time before the release of the latest Final Destination movie, Screened made a recap of all the casualties in all four Final Destination movies. I  personally have mixed feelings on the Spider Man reboot. I love Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider Man and it just kinda hard to place a new face on Spider Man’s blue and red ensemble. Though of course, Andrew Garfield is nothing short of a pretty face and he sure can carry on wearing Spidey’s costume. But I still can’t get over the fact that Tobey is no longer the face of Spider Man. I got too attached with the face that I find the transition difficult to accept! Lol. Okay. I’m probably overreacting now whining like a crazy fangirl. So end rant now. :p
Anyway, here’s the trailer for the upcoming Spider Man reboot. Starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, The Amazing Spider Man will have its premiere on theaters next summer (July 3, 2012).

This is what I want to do. Travel, see and experience the world. If only time and money permits. Sigh. But I’m not completely losing heart. Somehow, in the near future or so, I’ll make this happen. I’ll have my own trip of a lifetime. 🙂

Anyway, I was just in time to secure a slot before pottermore.com closed the registration for the early access. Now, I’m a happy girl. 🙂
Okay so Warner Bros. had released the official first look of Henry Cavill as  the new Superman. Now what? Lol. I’m really not excited about the reboot because I’m really not a fan of Superman. Heehee. Though he’s probably the first superhero I’ve known ‘coz I believe he’s the most popular.
Anyway, I did watch some of the old Christopher Reeve Superman movies plus that of  Brandon Routh.  But yeah, that just it. Never really gotten to a point of becoming true Superman geek or something. But I did a little fangirling on Tom Welling at Smallville though. I dunno, maybe because it caters more to the demographic where I belong? Lolwhut? I probably would be more excited if they cast Tom Welling instead. And that would’ve been a perfect supplement to Smallville. Hmmm… Okay just a wishful thinking of a  Tom Welling fangirl here. No violent reaction please. :p

But how can she get him notice her? Well, Elizabeth have it all sort out. All she needs is a boob job. Pretty easy huh? I don’t think so. Having no money to cover the operation plus a co-teacher who also eyes on her prospective husband, Elizabeth needs to step up her scheme… err... I mean she needs to step up her game. 🙂

Yet another great cover by Boyce Avenue. I love these guys since I first heard them in 2007. Alejandro’s voice is just amazing. And personally, I like Boyce Avenue’s version of this song than the original version sung  The Script.  But regardless of who sung the song best, For the First Time is a great song. I love it to be honest and I really find it inspiring.
Tough times, I’m pretty sure we’re all having those times. Probably not just at the same time, but yeah we have those days.
Anyway, with all the recession and unemployment crisis going on around the world, this song is very timely. And just like what the song is trying to say, you  should not give up no matter how many times you tumbled down on the dirt. Always get back up, shake it off and keep moving forward.
You see, these hard times, they aren’t forever. They too have an end. We just have to be strong and carry on because it always get better in the end. 🙂

To be honest, I was quite disappointed with the movie. I dunno, maybe because I expected too much? I mean I’ve been babbling about this movie to my sister and how much I’d love  to see it since the day I saw its trailer on TFC and when I finally am able to see it I just found myself bored.
Eugene somewhat reminds me of  Nelson Moss (Keanu Reeves) from the movie Sweet November (and coincidentally, Charlize Theron is also dying in the movie :p) — a proud, competitive, overbearing smart ass who thinks highly of himself. Then he meets his match, Raffy, probably the first person that have showed disinterest on him. And how quickly it is for a man who finds almost the entire female species not good enoughfor him, to fall in love to someone whom he just spent a few days of somewhat extreme adventures with (guys talking about zipline adventures here  ‘kay and oh if you’re wondering where they shoot those scenes, it’s in Dahilayan Adventure Park in Bukidnon =D), that’s totally out of character.
Hmmm… Well maybe not. Heehee. Sabi nga, pag tinamaan ka ni mr. kupido, tinamaan ka. Mabilis na kung mabilis na siya ma-in love.Â
Love comes when you least expect it. It’s like suddenly… Boom!  and then sparks fly everywhere. Before you know it, you’re already in love. And it only takes  that one magical moment and you’re changed forever.
Kinda like what happened to Landon, he’s so mesmerized to the beauty in front of him and he suddenly had the urge to kiss the beauty that blinded him and on that one magical moment he knew he’s in love with Jamie and that had been enough to change him to be a better man — much like what Raffy did to Eugene. And if you can’t still figure out who Landon and Jamie are, I’m talking about the about the characters in the  movie A Walk to Remember who again the female lead is dying of  leukemia just as much Raffy is dying too, only with lymphoma but still it’s cancer all the same. Heehee.
Too many cliches in the story line that must’ve been the reason why I didn’t enjoy the film much. Different setting, different characters but the story is just the same. Oh well…

Most of the time, I find myself scared of the unknown. I worry a lot. I overthink things. Sigh. Oh well, it’s a new month. So I guess, I’ll just hope for the better. So yeah please, dear August, be awesome, ‘kay?
This is what I wore for my friend’s baby shower. Normally, I’m just a shirt and jeans type of gal but since SoCal’s starting to feel warm and I’m kind of in a mood to dress-up so I opted for an off-shoulder top, khaki shorts and black fitflop sandals.
I also accessorized a bit (cross necklace and bangles both from forever21) and I played a little with my make-up, well just emphasizing the eyes. Need more practice though, lining the eye is harder than I thought. My hand still gets a tad bit shaky. =D
