Movie Night: 21 Jump Street

This movie is trash! It’s full of nonsense crap! And I’m sorry for saying that! I don’t  mean to be mean! (oh nice! wordplay whatever! heehee) Really! And I just couldn’t find any better way to describe it. But on second thought,  the movie is sooooooooo freakin’ hilarious!!! Really a laugh trip! So yeah, I loved it nonetheless!

The movie is about Schmidt and Jenko and their bromance and their misadventures as city park cops. Lol. Okay. Not really that. They’re actually cops and they’re best friends. Their mission is to bring down a synthetic drug syndicate pestering local high schools. So basically, to solve the drug syndicate case, they were sent back to high school posing as high-schoolers  to catch the drug dealer. And that’s where hilarity ensued.

And I just have to say this, for me the best part of the movie was Johnny-freakin-Depp!!! Don’t ask why. Just go see the 21 Jump Street. :p

Book List: I’ve Got Your Number By Sophie Kinsella

I just finished reading Sophie Kinsella’s latest book, I’ve Got Your Number from my Kindle and I loved it!  This is actually the first Sophie Kinsella novel that I’ve read (I’ve seen Confessions of a Shopaholic several times though… definitely in my list of  all-time favorite chic flicks! :p) and it didn’t disappoint. I’ve Got Your Number was a quick and easy and a fun book to read. It kept me entertained all through out.  I’ve nothing but <3^[1] for Poppy Wyatt and XXXXxxxxx^[2] for Sam Roxton. Also, I love how all the characters are like-able and somehow even the annoying ones^[3]. And I think I’m still quite hangover for footnotes!^[4]

So yeah, if you have the time and you’re looking for good Chic lit romance novel, I highly recommend Sophie Kinsella’s I’ve Got Your Number.

Every Breath U Take Movie Trailer

Now this something I might watch. Heehee. I mean how can you resist such charming piece of eye candy that is Piolo Pascual? It doesn’t matter if rumors about him are true.  He is someone that is pleasing to look at and he does act pretty well. So yeah, I’m okay with that. I mean it’s not like I’m dreaming  and hoping of having a relationship with him. Lol.

So this film, Every Breath U Take, is a Star Cinema RomCom movie featuring two of ABS-CBN’s bankable stars, Piolo Pascual and Angelica Panganiban. What it is all about, I can only guess. Haha. I mean typically, it is something like a handsome/player/womanizer guy falls for a simple NBSB (No Boyfriend Since Birth. Lol!) girl. The guy doesn’t believe in love while the girl is eagerly looking for a love that’ll sweep her off her feet. Two opposite beings. One undeniable attraction. How they manage to sort things out and work on their differences while throwing in some comedic mishaps, that I guess, what the movie is about. :p

Every Breath U Take is directed by Mae Czarina Cruz and out on Philippine Theaters this 16th of May. Watch trailer below.

Watch Coco Martin and Angeline Quinto’s Born To Love You Movie Trailer

Finally, Coco Martin and Angeline Quinto’s Born To Love You movie trailer is out. Now, who’s excited to watch? Heehee. Honestly though, I’m really not digging Coco Martin’s side-swept bangs or whatever you call it (good thing Coco didn’t wear that look all through out the film!) plus I see no chemistry between him and Angeline Quinto. And just to be clear, I’m neither a Coco Martin nor an Angeline Quinto hater. I think they’re both awesome in their own right (Coco Martin being a good actor and Angeline Quinto being a good singer) but their team-up just don’t work for me.

Oh well, to each his own. Anyway, watch the trailer below.

True Blood Season 5: New Trailer

Eeep! New trailer for True Blood Season 5! Now I’m really, really excited! Dear June, please hurry up already. I can’t wait to see Eric… and Pam… and Sookie… and even Bill. Heehee. And oh, did I just see Sookie use her microwave fingers again???

Hart of Dixie and Nikita Renewed!

Woohoo! CW had renewed Hart of Dixie and Nikita! Happiness! Heehee.

So yeah, even though, both shows are wrapping up their current season next week, fans (like me!) are now assured that Bluebell’s charming doctor, Zoe Hart and kick-ass  rogue agent Nikita are going to be back  in action this coming Fall.

What a relief! Really. For weeks, I’ve been haunted by the thought that both Hart of Dixie and Nikita have a 50/50 renewal chance due to unimpressive ratings.  Unimpressive doesn’t really mean a bad rating, actually both shows rate fairly good, just really not impressive enough to automatically assure them a slot on Fall TV. But yeah, I’m really glad CW renewed Nikita (now on its third season) and Hart of Dixie (second season). Now, more shows to look forward to this coming Fall aside from The Vampire Diaries.

Movie Night: The Avengers

I’ve nothing but praises for this film! Epic movie! It was awesome! It was wonderful! It was perfect! And this is coming from a typical movie goer who is really not difficult to please and not really a hardcore Marvel Comics fan. Haha. I guess, what I’m trying to say is, watch the movie at your own risk. But on personal level, I really enjoyed it and I wouldn’t mind spending another $11 just so I can watch again the epic movie that is The Avengers.

Loki: What have I to fear?
Tony Stark: The Avengers. It’s what we call ourselves, sort of like a team. “Earth’s Mighiest Heroes” type thing.
Loki: Yes, I’ve met them.
Tony Stark: Yeah, takes us a while to get any traction, I’ll give you that one but, let’s do a head count here. Your brother, the demi-god; a super soldier, a living legend who kind of lives up to the legend; a man with breath-taking anger management issues; a couple of master assassins, and *you*, big fella, you’ve managed to piss off every single one of them.
Loki: That was the plan.
Tony Stark: Not a great plan. When they come, and they will, they’ll come for you.
Loki: I have an army.
Tony Stark: We have a Hulk.
Loki: I thought the beast had wandered off.
Tony Stark: You’re missing the point. There’s no throne. There is no version of this where you come out on top. Maybe your army comes and maybe it’s too much for us but it’s all on you. Because if we can’t protect the Earth, you can be damned well sure we’ll avenge it.

Waiting Sucks: Vampyr!

Finally, we now have a first-look of “The  Vampire Authority” (Kinda like Twilight’s Volturi and The Vampire Diaries’ Originals) Nan Flanagan was constantly referring to from the past seasons of True Blood.  For some time, I thought Nan was just making them up just so she can manipulate and boss around the vampire community. Wrong thought, obviously. Lol.  ”The Authority” do exist and now they’re making their presence known for some reason we are yet to find out (Sookie? Because of her telephatic ability and fairy blood? Eric? Fangtasia? A Marriage bond?). But whatever that is it’ll surely complicate the lives of Sookie, Eric, Bill and the rest of the gang even more now that Russell Edgington is not the only problem they have to deal with.

Waiting Sucks: True Blood Season 5 Teasers

Obviously, I’m a fan of  HBO’s True Blood series and maybe by now you can guess that I watch hella lot of vampire/werewolf/fairies themed series. And oh, I read them too.  Heehee.  Anyway, HBO had already released several teasers for the upcoming season and with those we can already guess that Russell Edgington is back and it is creating quite a stir to some of  Bon Temps’ folks. And by that I mean Sookie and her band of supernatural boyfriends, flings or whatever you call it (Bill, Eric & Alcide… oh let’s not forget Quinn. I have a feeling he’ll make an appearance this season). Now this is quite a dilemma. I mean who would want to deal with the  batshit crazy vampire, Russell Edgington? If he’s been crazy mad before, imagine how wrathful he has become after he spent his waking days… err… night in slow torture, buried alive without even an ounce of  blood to drink. Tsk. Surely, all hell will break loose in the True Blood universe.

Now as we wait for True Blood’s first episode of the season which is set to premiere on June 10, let’s be contented with these teasers for now.
