Busy Bee

I’ve been neglecting this blog yet again. I’ve been hella busy with work lately and working on 4 different projects all at the same time is really stressful.

In case you’re wondering what my work is, I’m a Freelance Web Developer. I create websites for a living. And sometimes I work in my PJ’s… because I work from home. Heehee. =P

Anyway, back to me being busy these past few days, I’m not complaining about that, in fact I’m even grateful for having a consistent stream of  projects to work on these past few weeks. I mean work is work and during these trying times I surely need lots of it. But I’m not that greedy okay, like I bite off more than I can chew. I only take as much as I know I can handle. So everything is manageable.

Manageable. Right. But that doesn’t mean I don’t get tired. And right now, that’s exactly what I feel. Tired. Exhausted. Jaded. And all I want to do is to forget about work, unplug myself from this computer  (lolwhut?) , lie down in my bed, catch up on my readings or watch my favorite TV series then get as much sleep as I could. Now that would be a nice and awesome breather don’t you think?  How I wish though I could do just like that. But I can’t. You see, just like most adults, I can’t just stop working at whim because  I have these responsibilities I call “bills” that suck up most of my paycheck at the end of the month.

Haaaay ang buhay talaga parang bato… It’s hard! =))

Fix You Cover by Boyce Avenue

This song deserves a post in my blog because Fix You is my number one favorite Coldplay song. It is truly an emotional song and I can’t help feeling affected every time I hear this song. It’s like I die a little inside because I know I’m broken to some extent and deep inside me hides that longing to be fixed. I know it’s not right to like let someone fix us when we should do it on our own since it’s our own self and our own life but then wouldn’t it be nice if someone else would do it for us?

Anyway enough of my senseless blabbing, here’s Boyce Avenue’s cover and it’s no secret that I love them but then I still can’t decide if I like this cover or not. But definitely Coldplay’s version will always be number one love. 🙂

Rhian Ramos’ Lip-synching Stint

I’m really not a Moymoy Palaboy fan. They’re funny all right. Just that I find them too cheesy for my taste. Though it’s fun to see them collaborating with other artists. And their latest celebrity feature is no other than the gorgeous Rhian Ramos. Now I find this video amusing, not just because Rhian Ramos is lip-synching Nicki Minaj’s Super Bass, but also because of how Rhian Ramos manages to stay pretty despite all the weird faces. Life’s just not fair really. Because when I do weird faces like that, it’s downright weird that even I would cringe to see the weirdness that is my face! Haha. Oh well, I’ll just try not to be bitter about it. =P

Anyway, here’s the video I’m talking about. Watch it and see for yourself.

50/50 Movie Trailer

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has a new movie coming out this week and joining him are Knocked Up’s Seth Rogen and Twilight’s Anna Kendrick. I just hope it won’t disappoint. 🙂 I’m really looking forward to this film.

Anyway, 50/50 is about two friends whose lives were changed when one of them was diagnosed with cancer and now has a 50/50 chance to live. Basically, it’s a story of survival, of friendship, of love and of not taking life too seriously. Kinda like it teaches you to humor life  and so when it gives you lemons, get back  to life by making lemonade. 🙂

Watch 50/50’s trailer below.

Breaking Dawn

I won’t deny that I’m a fan of the series. I’ve read all four books more than three times. I waited in line for hours, out in the cold at night, for all three films, so I could watch them on opening night. Then watched the films again in theaters once or twice. I’ve collected all 3 DVD’s. I’ve collected all OST’s. And I admit mentally drowning Bella when she stupidly jumped off the cliff just so I could mentally have the 100-year-old virgin sparkly vampire in shiny Volvo all by myself. And that made me kinda mental too. But what the heck. I’m blinded with the sparks. And yes I’m a Team Edward because Jacob’s a jerk. ‘Nuff said.

Okay. So now that the new movie is coming out, I don’t feel excited anymore as much as I did before. I dunno. I guess people change and Twilight doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Though I’m really looking forward to the unimaginable and ridiculous way Edward delivered Bella’s baby out her fragile human body. But I’m positive there’ll be major alterations on that scene. They’ll make it appear like a “normal” delivery. Because just like what I said in the book it’s ridiculous and it’s gross and I don’t think people would want to see that.

And I think, since the movie was divided into to two parts, Breaking Dawn part 1 would probably climaxed on Bella’s baby delivery and Bella dying. Then on Breaking Dawn part 2 opening scene, they’ll cue in a blinding light, seconds later they’ll reveal the new and improved Bella – all sparkly and dead. Lulz. And they say everything is magnified when you turned into a Vamp, now imagine how enraged Bella’s hormones are.

Anyway, below is the full theatrical preview of the Breaking Dawn Part 1. Enjoy! =)

No Other Woman Trailer

Taglish post ahead. =P

OMG! This! I want to see this movie now! Hahaha. Excited much eh? Oh well seriously, I really wanna see this movie. 🙂 Teaser pa lang winner na! And the dialogues… wow… just WOW! Tagos hanggang buto. Lulz. Okay. I might be exaggerating a bit. But you know those movies? Those movies that leave memorable lines, kinda like that of Cherrie Gil’s famous copycat line, well this movie, No Other Woman, kinda have that same pamatay na lines. Sobrang panalo na I’m pretty sure it’ll be the “bukang bibig” of pinoys for quite sometime. And let me also add that the movie have this certain appeal that’ll surely leave an indelible mark in the minds of the moviegoers. You see it has the formula of a sure hit – exciting teaser, great lines, interesting story, two beautiful sexy ladies and one sexy hunk of a man. San ka pa!  Kaya watch na! Well, just the teaser for now. Lulz.

Another blog post dedicated to the ever amazing Julie Anne San Jose. 🙂 This time she covers Chris Brown’s Look At Me Now and she did a pretty good job. Probably not as astounding as that of Karmin’s. But nevertheless, Julie Anne is amazing still and she is definitely worth listening to. So if I were you, I’ll watch the video and click on the play button and see it for yourself. Enjoy! 🙂

Pixar’s Brave Official Teaser

I didn’t know the trailer was out! I’m really excited for this film. Why, it’s the first ever animated film that Pixar created where the main protaganist is a female! And Merida is not the typical female character we often see on other animated films. Merida is one badass princess! =)

Set in the Highlands of Scotland, Merida is the daughter of King Fergus and Queen Elinor. Merida is an adept archer and she’s impulsive too. Determined to live her own life and create her own destiny, Merida dared to defy an age-old tradition that is sacred to the lords of  Scotland. Her actions brought chaos and fury in the kingdom. She unleashed a beastly curse that brought peril to their land. Merida needs to brave the unforeseeable forces of nature, magic and an age-old curse to make things right again.

Brave coming to theaters  on Summer  of 2012. Watch teaser below.

Hysteria

This is yet another interesting film. Have you ever wonder how, why and when was the first female vibrator ever invented? If yes, then this movie Hysteria is a must see. 🙂

Hysteria is basically about the origin of the first female vibrator which originally believed was the cure to women’s irritability, anger, unexplained emotional problems such as depression, stress, anxiety or hysteria. And I believe nowadays we got the term PMS  to sum up all those jazz. You know, the Premenstrual Syndrome, that time of the month when women’s hormones go berserk. So guys if you know it’s that time of the month and your wife or your girlfriend is having some irrational spell of anger, depression or hysteria, don’t blame them for acting or behaving like so, blame the hormones. =P

Anyway, so here’s a sneak peek on the film Hysteria. Starring Hugh Dancy,Jonathan Pryce, Rupert Everett and Maggie Gyllenhall. You can read more about the film and its screening time here.
