Movie Night: Magic Mike

Couple of weeks ago I finally got the chance to see Magic Mike and boy it was disappointing. Sorry for being blunt but man the movie sucks! If you want to see almost naked men gyrating like whatever then go ahead, watch this film. Because that’s pretty much what the movie was all about. Stripteasing men on the big screen to serve as a fun treat for the ladies. And that basically all you get, eye-candies. Everything else sucks. It seemed like a cookie-cutter film to me. Predictable plot. No character depth. Even the acting was bad. But I can’t say the same with Channing Tatum’s dancing. He’s really an amazing dancer. No doubt about that. But unfortunately, that wasn’t enough for me to say that the film was awesome.

If only I can turn back time. I would rather use my time catching up some z’s and spend my $12 on food than watching Magic Mike. Oh well…

Movie Night: Bourne Legacy

I watched Bourne Legacy last night and I still can’t decide if I liked it or not. Ah yes, the decisions I have to make in life give me a headache sometimes. Heehee.

Anyway, I think the movie was okay but i wasn’t that great. It was actually boring on the first half. Too much back story and the movie is literally all over the place. One scene it’s in Alaska then another scene in Seoul then another scene in Pakistan then in Virginia then in New York… you get the picture. It got a little confusing at some point because of the many unnecessary little back stories the director tried to crunch in just to establish the connection between  Jason Bourne and Aaron Cross. I mean it wasn’t that even hard to understand that Treadstone is blown off thanks to Jason Bourne and many high-ranking government officials are shaken so they want the whole program shutdown. To do that they need to do a clean up and that means killing everyone involved in the program most especially the agents. And Aaron Cross is one agent who survived the purged and from there his story begins.

She’s So Mean by Matchbox Twenty (Official Lyric Video)

Yay! Matchbox Twenty has a new album coming up entitled “North” which will be out on September 4th. I love Matchbox Twenty! Kinda reminds me of my High School days. Heehee. Anyway, while we’re waiting for the album release, here’s  a track from their upcoming album. No official music video yet. Just this official lyric video which I hate btw because it’s tacky. Lol. Loving the music though. Oh well…

Call Me Doctor featuring Rachel Bilson

How come I just saw this video now??? This is so awesome! And Rachel Bilson raps! How cool is that??? Hahaha. I love Rachel Bilson if you still haven’t noticed. :p And to have the cast of  Hart of Dixie make a parody of their own show that’s just double awesome! Heehee. Anyway, you decide whether Rachel Bilson is funny or not. But if you’ll ask me, she definitely is adorably funny! And oh if you still don’t know, Call Me Doctor was written by no other than Rachel Bilson’s Hart of Dixie co-star Wilson Bethel. 🙂

Taken 2 Trailer

Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills in this action-packed sequel to Taken. In this sequel, which was aptly titled Taken 2 *heh*, Bryan’s ex-wife Lenore was taken  hostage by a father seeking revenge for his son. The son was among the bad guys that abducted Bryan’s daughter, Kim and among the guys that Bryan had killed to save his daughter. Now, I don’t know why the father would still be bothered to abduct Bryan’s ex-wife just to lure Bryan when he pretty much has the idea how lethal Bryan is since he single-handedly killed his kins. The father probably have a death wish or something. :)) I mean the father could’ve just killed the ex-wife the moment she was abducted if it’s revenge he really seeks. Then move on with his life. End of story. Hahaha. Okay of course the story will not end there. Bryan will then probably avenge his ex-wife and he’ll probably do what he does best and that is to track down and kill the man who killed his ex-wife. And Bryan will find him of course and he’ll be dead instantly. Death wish of the father granted. Bryan had his revenge. End of story. Then again, someone will avenge someone again…  Ah revenge, it’s really a vicious cycle. So yeah, just ignore my musings, it’s pretty much nonsense anyways. Heehee. Let’s just watch the movie this coming October and see if it’s a yay or a nay. ;)) For the mean time, watch the teaser below.

Breaking Dawn Part 2 Teaser #2

So finally, a new teaser for Breaking Dawn Part 2 has come out and Vampire Bella is definitely badass. Though that “I was born  to be a vampire” line cracks me up. Haha. I don’t know. Too much cheese I guess. Finally, Bella knew the reason for existing and that is to be dead, well undead actually. And it’s really funny how Bella seem to hate her humanity so much that she’d rather be undead to fit in the world of the living. Lolwhut??? Hope I’m making sense.

Anyway, it’s only now that I see it that way because a few years back I’m so blinded  by the Twilight fandom that I thought the book were amazing and Edward Cullen was my knight in shiny Volvo. Hahaha. But people changed. I’ve changed. No, I don’t hate the saga now. I’m just not into it anymore as much as I did before.

To be honest though, this new Breaking Dawn teaser excites me a little and I hope that we’ll be seeing  some real vampire action where there’ll be an actual fight and not just some boring negotiation with the Volturi. So yeah, watch the new teaser for Breaking Dawn Part 2 below, the epic finale for the Twilight Saga.

Movie Night: Snow White and the Huntsman

Last week, my brother and I watched Snow White and the Huntsman. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t that great either. I don’t know what to say about Kristen Stewart’s acting really. It’s like watching Bella from Twilight all over again. Very much so that part where she was dying because of the poisonous apple she bit. That act was I think very reminiscent of that scene in Twilight when James bit him and his poisonous venom started burning Bella’s veins or bloodstream whatever. Then again those two scenes were fairly similar so I guess I could say that, Kristen was just rather being consistent. Teehee. But with Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen Ravenna, I’m hands down! She’s undeniably very pretty and boy she was awesome acting-wise! She undoubtedly owned the role! And I love her Revenna wardrobe too! So if there’s one thing I really liked in the movie it’s the Evil Queen. Charlize Theron was just perfect for the role. With Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Sam Claflin as William, I think they both did just fine. I just find it really hard to understand whatever Chris Hemsworth was saying because he spoke in a low guttural voice that made it sound like his chewing his words. Nonetheless, he’s okay. :p

All in all, I liked this dark version of Snow White. It was completely a different story compare to the fairy tale. And like I said, it wasn’t bad even though it wasn’t great. It’s a nice mediocre film that was good enough to keep me entertained till its end.

Lips red as blood… Hair black as night… Bring me your heart my dear dear Snow White.

Movie Night: Men In Black 3

So we spent the long weekend in Vegas. And since I’m not into clubbing and don’t have the money to feed on slot machines, I spent my first night in Vegas in a theater and watched Men In Black 3 with my siblings.  But before you judge me or say whatever,  on my second night in there, I did some midnight walk on the Las Vegas strip while sipping on my 32oz pina colada daiquiri drink. Now that’s fun, right? No? Lol. Okay.  I know I’m rather being defensive and I admit that my idea of fun is rather lame! There I said it. Now, shoot me those whatever look like I’m some weird gal living under a rock because I went to Vegas just to watch a movie. Lol.

Anyway, so the movie, Men in Black 3, it was fun. I never thought I’d enjoyed it. But I did. Even though I fell asleep at the beginning of the movie. Not the movie’s fault. I only had 4 hours of sleep in two days that weekend so sleep had caught up with me. I woke up when on the part where Boris the Animal had escaped (that thing in his palm is really scary!),  Agent K was missing and Agent J’s already trying to figure a way on how he can break the time and space continuum and go back to the time he needs to undo, alter or whatever to save Agent K. And so there the adventure begins.

To sum up the movie, the story starts in the present, Agent K is dead and the world is in peril because of some alteration Boris the Animal did in the past. And so in order to save the world and save Agent K, Agent J went back to the past and looked for his partner. When Agent J found Agent K and explained his bizarre dilemma, together they chased after the past and present Boris the Animal. They fought. Bad side winning. Hopeless situation for Agent K and Agent J. The future world is doomed. Then suddenly, some surprised help came in. Agent K and Agent J gets another shot at saving the world and the future. The past and the present Boris the Animal were defeated. Then some surprising twist – more of a revelation actually which wasn’t really bad (That was one of the most touching scene of the movie I think). Agent K was saved. Agent J returned to the present. The world was saved. All is well. The End.  Blah blah blah. This is really getting rather long and boring and I don’t even know how to conclude this. So I’m just ending this post here. But yeah, the movie was fun. Great watch. Will Smith is funny as always. So yeah that’s it! Bye! :))

Watch Bourne Legacy Trailer #2

Trailer number 2 for the Bourne Legacy starring Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz is out. Watch trailer below.

I’m really looking forward to see this film this summer. Not because some scenes in the film were shot in Manila but because I really love a good action film. And I noticed in this trailer, that some of the footages were taken from the movie Bourne Ultimatum. Because you’ll see familiar scenes and faces/characters like Pamela Landy, Noah, Wills and the very much dead Simon Ross. I think, these two films are connected. Well of course they’re connected! Duh! It’s a Bourne film! Same universe just different agent, asset or whatever you call it! Hahaha. So yeah scratch that and sorry for my silliness! :p Anyway let’s just see if Kenneth Kitson will measure up to the guy that started it all. Jason Bourne that is.
