The Tales of Beedle the Bard

If you already read Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows then you know that “The Tales of Beedle the Bard” was the book left by Albus Dumbledore for Hermione to decipher. And though the whole Harry Potter Series is said to be non-fiction, the book “The Tales of Beedle the Bard” really exists.

As a matter of fact there were only seven copies of this book ever produce and each books were intricately handwritten and illustrated by the bard herself, Ms. J.K. Rowling , the renowned author and creator of the whole Harry Potter Series.

The said books were auctioned at Sotheby’s in London earlier this month and Amazon.com who spent a whooping $4,000,000 (£1,950,000) is among the proud owner of these precious (and expensive!) books. Proceeds from the auction will be donating by Ms. Rowling to a charity she co-founded.

The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian

I wasn’t aware that a new Narnia movie is in production. So I was surprised when I saw the trailer of the movie adaptation of the book Prince Caspian and it was awesome. It’s nice to see Aslan and the Pevensies once again. Oh and Lucy had grown now and Prince Caspian is quite a cutie. ^^; Then I think the battle scenes are much better now compared to the first movie. I really can’t wait to see this film. It will be out in theaters on May 16, 2008. So that gives me enough time to finish the Narnia book I bought 2 years ago. Lol.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

Yay. Today is the much awaited released of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix DVD, well at least for a fan like me. Lol. I can’t wait to see the movie again and relieve the excitement of the unending epic of the boy who lived.

This is probably the best Harry Potter movie I’ve seen because for one, kudos to Imelda Staunton’s indelible portrayal of Dolores Umbridge who by far is the most annoying and obnoxious character I’ve known next to Rita Skeeter; and second in this movie Lord Voldemort had finally made his presence felt. Truly, the Dark Lord has returned.

First Day High

I was bored. I got nothing else to do so I’ve decided to just give myself my usual movie fix. And this time Star Cinema’s First Day High caught my attention. Well maybe because I like Maja Salvador. Anyhoo, the movie kicked of with a short narration which I think was nice. I bet you’re wondering too why AM Radio still transmits at night. Lol. If you didn’t get it then there’s probably something wrong with you. =P

Wasting money and PBB

Few days ago I was talking about how good I am in wasting my money. So I’ve been contemplating lately thinking of the unnecessary purchases I’ve made for the past few months, then I remember I have this season subscription to Pinoy Big Brother (Yeah I know, there’s my 15 bucks gone and wasted. Lol.) and it’s been like a month now since the last time I watched it. And a lot of things had happened.

On Heroes’ Season Finale

So, volume 2 of Heroes ended yesterday and if you haven’t seen it yet I promise I won’t tell that Nikki got burned alive inside an abandoned building while trying to save Monica and that Nathan got shot while having a press conference.

Ooopsie! Forget I said that. I really didn’t mean to spill it out, it’s just that I got really excited now that Sylar got his ability back, thanks to Mohinder’s blood. Oh and don’t you find it ridiculously amusing that Sylar shot Maya then suddenly he asked Mohinder to bring her back to life? I mean c’mon leave the poor girl alone in peace. What else would you probably want from her? You already killed her.

Procrastination at its best

If there’s one thing that I’m really good at, that is wasting money. Lol. Really. I have like bought several domain names which I intend to use on some web projects that I’ve got in mind and nothing seemed to materialize as of this time. It’s almost the end of the year and even up to know I haven’t done anything to achieve whatever goals I’ve set on the earlier months. Geeez. Talk about procrastinating and laziness I’m the master of both too and so that makes it 3 things that I’m good at now instead of one.

And I know, that’s not anything funny that I should be proud of. I’m obviously losing track of some things in my life and I badly need to realign myself back to what I’ve really wanted on the first place before everything else get worst. I don’t want to hate myself in the end. So I guess I really need some time to assess myself and reckon of the things I need to work on before it’s too late.

Should be thinking of New Year’s Resolution now, I guess?  ^^;

A Plight of Truth?

I was having my usual IM conversation with Anthony when he told me that he won’t be able to come home to Pampanga because of some commotion that’s happening in Makati. And well, what do you know, it is yet another coup d’état attempt and yes Senator Trillanes did it again but this time together with his minions they took over Manila Peninsula.

I mean, c’mon what is he thinking? Haven’t he learned the first time? Then after this, what will happened? Another court-martial trial? Doesn’t he realize that this whole brouhaha, demonstration or whatever you call it will only relieve him from all his obligations as a Senator.

Sigh…
