After Lindsay Lohan’s ever controversial photoshoot recreating Marilyn Monroe’s “Last Sitting” photos in New York Magazine, she’s on again for another magazine spread and this time she’s gracing the cover of Papermag.

Marian Rivera reveals a new side of her in Marie Claire while Angel Locsin dares to bares it all in Cosmopolitan. Hmmm. First on primetime television now on magazine spreads? Rivalry to the next level? I wonder whose magazine cover would have the most sales? *heh*

Anywho, I believe both are really pretty on their respective magazine covers (despite the obvious airbrushing technique applied on both images *heh*). Marian is definitely glowing in the Marie Claire cover and Angel is looking uber sexy in her swimsuit (her Darna costume is way sexier though) in the Cosmopolitan cover. And personally, I like both of them. So I’ll surely buy both their magazines once their copies hit the Filipino stores here in LA. *heh*
Starring Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman and Eric Bana, The Other Boleyn Girl is a story of two sisters Anne and Mary Boleyn, vying for the affection and love of the most powerful man in the world, King Henry VIII.
In history books, King Henry VIII is most famous for having been married six times. He married Anne Boleyn after his marriage to Catherine of Aragon was annulled due to Catherine’s inability to bear him an heir.
Anne Boleyn did bore him a female heir whom for King Henry VIII is of no used. And so Anne Boleyn was wrongfully accused of witchcraft, incest, adultery and treason so King Henry VIII could remarry and produce a rightful male heir for his throne.
Anne Boleyn was beheaded on May 19, 1536 and she is well remembered today as one of the most courageous women of her time.
Aside from all the marriages he had, King Henry VIII is also known to have several mistresses whom he kept in a private mansion called Jericho, and among his mistresses was Anne Boleyn’s sister Mary Boleyn.
Anyway, The Other Boleyn Girl is out on cinemas everywhere, February 29, 2008.

Weekend rating for Mega Manila was out and nothing much had changed. ABS-CBN failed once again to stop their rival network, GMA 7, in claiming the top spots in the rating chart.
The week ended with Eat Bulaga/Daisy Siete and Marimar ruling daytime and primetime shows respectively. Eat Bulaga and Daisy Siete garnered a 22.5% rating while Marimar received an impressive 44.3% rating.
Regine Velasquez’s Maalaala Mo Kaya featured presentation also made it in the cut but it didn’t surpassed the rating KC Concepcion’s MMK presentation. Regine received a 13.2% rating while KC got a 17.3% rating.

And since it’s debut yesterday, the said clip already receives as of this time, an overwhelming 130,834 views and 3,138 comments from people around the globe. The Kapuso Network formally announced Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes as the main lead stars of the upcoming remake of Mars Revelo’s Dyesebel. Marian Rivera will be the new Dyesebel while Dingdong Dantes will play the role of Fredo –Dyesebel’s love interest. Other cast members were not announced yet, but the said confirmation will surely make fans of Marian-Dingdong loveteam happy.
PEP says, Rhian Ramos was really GMA’s first choice for the role of Dyesebel but was replaced by Marian Rivera at the last minute because Rhian can’t do the topless requirement. And Mark Anthony Fernandez is suppose to play the role of Fredo, but due to his commitment in Richard Gutierrez’s Kamandag, Dingdong Dantes was selected instead.
Regine Velasquez had said her piece regarding the “lipatan” issue from GMA 7 to ABS-CBN.
Regine explains her status on her interview in The Buzz last Sunday, that she has no impeding contract with GMA 7 and that the said network was well informed on all her appearances on it’s rival network. And though it’s true that the Asia’s Songbird already left her Sunday variety show (SOP) on GMA Networks, she denied the 25 million pesos contract deal with ABS-CBN.
Regine admitted to Boy Abunda that she always wanted to do the Philippine version of Betty La Fea (Ugly Betty) and when the Kapamilya Network offered her the said role (ABS-CBN bought the rights for Betty La Fea) she readily said yes. But no 25 million exclusive contract deal whatsoever had transpired between her and the Kapamilya Network.
