Marian Rivera to do Dyesebel?
In the press conference of her upcoming movie, My Best Friend’s Girlfriend, Marian Rivera was asked by the press if her next project after Marimar is Dyesebel. She neither confirms nor denies it. And when asked what role she is most likely to choose between Darna and Dyesebel, Marian quickly replied “Dyesebel!”
With that, looks like Marian is hinting that she is really doing Dyesebel after Marimar ends on March 5.
Dyesebel is the Philippines’ well know mermaid character created in the early 50′s by renowned comic book illustrator, Mars Ravelo. Later on, several movie adaptations of Dyesebel were released. And I personally like the version of Alice Dixon, who portrayed the role of Dyesebel in 1990.
This year, GMA 7 is set to make a remake of Dyesebel and this time it would be shown on primetime television. Joyce Bernal, who currently works on Marimar, confirmed that she will the director of this upcoming series.
