I really love this Megan Nicole’s cover of this Lil Wayne’s song. I can’t stop listening to it. I love her voice and that part she starts singing in Spanish is just lovely, romantic even. 🙂

Black Is Back

And by that I mean Rebecca Black. Um. Wait. Rebecca Black who? Well you know, that girl who can’t decide which seat to take? Front seat? Back seat? You know, that Friday song? Like yesterday was Thursday, today is Friday, tomorrow is Saturday and Sunday comes afterwards? No? Doesn’t ring a bell? Oh c’mon! I know haters gonna hate! Heehee. But yeah, I’m pretty sure you know her. I mean this girl is huge! Big! A big time internet sensation that is. And she’s popular too! Well, popular at some way… If you know what I mean. :p Anyway, so yeah she’s back and she got a new song and this time she’s telling everyone her moment had arrived. So please, just please people, don’t spoil her moment. Let her enjoy it while it lasts. =D

Here’s Rebecca Black’s latest single, “My Moment” and click link below to view lyrics.

Rakenrol Trailer

Odie and Irene are best friends. Both have a penchant for music and so together they’ve decided to put up a band. The duo then recruited the other members of the group— Mo “The Guitarist”,  Junfour “The Drummer” and Matet “The Manager” and they called themselves the “Hapipaks”. Rakenrol tells the story of the Hapipaks and their misadventures as they enter the world of the local underground music scene.

Rakenrol is directed by Quark Henares and co-written by Diego Castillo.

———

I love Jason Abalos. He’s like my “All-time crush!”. Well, sort of.  Heehee. I mean I have many celebrity crushes! And I was just trying to mimic Irene with that “all-time crush” thing. But I do like Jason Abalos he’s like the Michael Cera of the Philippines (And this movie kinda reminds mo of Scott Pilgrim too! Prolly because of the band thing :p), though Jason’s kind of going mainstream now since he’s now quite visible on local TV scenes, but yeah he’s a good actor and I like really like it when he cries. Heehee. I like guys that cry. Makes me want to hug them… and comfort them.. and… hug them again. Lulz.

Anyway, I think Rakenrol is the closing film for Cinemalaya so better see it if you’re attending the festival. If not then, fret not ‘coz you’d still be able to catch the goodness that is Jason Abalos come August when they release the film on local theaters. For the mean time just enjoy the trailer below. 🙂

Ligo Na U, Lapit na Me

Yet another Cinemalaya must see movie. Ligo Na U, Lapit na Me is the movie adaptation of the book with the same title written by Eros Atalia.

Ligo na U, Lapit na Me tells the story of Intoy and Jenny. Jenny is a campus figure. She’s rich and beautiful. And Intoy, he’s just ordinary. Simple pero astig. And they’re friends… Friends with benefits. But along the perks of their unconventional friendship comes Jenny’s one and only condition and that is they both won’t fall in love with each other. But the astigin Intoy did. And so just before their graduation, Intoy, let down his tough facade and professed his love to Jenny. But Jenny also made some shattering confessions that left Intoy devastated. Jenny told Intoy she is pregnant and he is not the father.

Watch trailer below. 🙂

Ang Babae sa Septic Tank

The ever funny comedienne Ms. Eugene Domingo has a new movie (Ang Babae sa Septic Tank) and I can’t wait to see it! Though I’m not sure how I’d be able to do that here in SoCal since Pinoy Indie Films are mostly shown only locally. Oh well…

The plot of the movie is  a little confusing but I think it’s something like a film within a film (think Inception you guys! LOLJK!) where JM de Guzman is the producer, Kean Cipriano is the director and Eugene Domingo is well herself, as Eugene Domingo.  Anyway, in the film Ang Babae sa Septic Tank JM and Kean are creating a film entitled “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” and Eugene Domingo plays the role of, I’m guessing, the “babae sa septic tank”. Lulz. Hmmm… Probably the film was about someone (Eugene) who works as a septic tank drainer/cleaner that’s why the movie was title like so? Hahaha. Obviously, I’m just doing a lot of guessing here. Ang labo ko lang! :p

Watch the trailer of “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank” below. The said film is written by Chris Martinez and Directed by Marlon Rivera. Movie premieres on July 15-24 2011 during the PHILIPPINE INDEPENDENT FILM FESTIVAL 2011 to be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines. You can grab your tickets via Ticketworld Philippines.

Finally an update!

And a major update that is ‘coz I have a new layout! So what do you think of my blog’s new look?  Like it? Well I do! Hahaha. Of course I’m being biased with my work.

Anyway, it took me three years to finally find the time to do a redesign. Not that I’ve been really busy with life just that I procrastinate a lot and add to that my laziness which is pretty much one of my horrible traits. Though I’m really trying to break free from those horrendous habits. I mean I only have one shot at life so might as well put it into good use, make something good out of it and stop putting off things that I can do today. So yeah. Off topic now.

Anyway, back to what I was saying, I’m kinda hoping that through this redesign I could find my blogging mojo again ‘coz seriously this blog needs to be updated. If you haven’t noticed yet  my last blog post was dated July last year! That’s obviously how outdated and neglected this blog is. I mean okay I thought of shutting this blog  down since it’s rarely being updated anyway and it’ll be less of my worries. But then I really can’t find the heart to do so ‘coz this blog kinda holds some sentimental value since this has been my first personal domain. Yeah okay, I’m cheesy. =P

TwelveThirteen Blog

So I’ve decided I’m reviving this blog just not with it’s original purpose though. I’ve intended this blog to be like and entertainment blog but since I can’t keep up with what’s the latest and whatnots in the entertainment world and I’m no Perez Hilton nor do I have a team of insiders like TMZ’s, I’m putting that whole entertainment niche behind me now and just focus on blogging things that personally interests me. So yeah, from now on this shall become my personal blog and I think I can keep up with that. 🙂

I guess this is where I welcome you, whoever is reading this, to my personal blog. And I hope I didn’t bore you. Till next time! :p
