Comedian Redford White Succumbs to Cancer

54-year old Filipino comedian Redford White who is battling brain cancer, died at 6:47 a.m. yesterday, July 25, 2010 due to brain cancer complications. Reportedly, his body lies at Sto. Niño de Maligaya Shrine in Novaliches.

Redford White, Cipriano Cermeno in real life, is survived by his wife, Elena Cermeno, and daughter Jeruie.

The comedian first experience dizziness, imbalance and walking difficulty on July 2008. He thought it was just vertigo. But on February this year he was diagnosed of stage 4 brain cancer.

He was last seen on television as cast member on ABS-CBN’s Kokey(2007) and Palos(2008).

Finally Pia Guanio broke her silence and cleared the issue regarding the status of her 5-year relationship with Vic Sotto. In an interview, Pia Guanio shared that they’re still very much together though she admitted that their relationship right now is going through some rough patches and that they’re trying to work things out.

Endless Love Tops Ratings in Mega Manila

In the latest report released by AGB Nielsen Phils, Endless Love leads the primetime ratings in Mega Manila from July 6-7 while ABS-CBN’s Agua Bendita comes in second place.

Endless Love is the Filipino remake of the hit Korean Drama Series with the same title. Local adaptation of Endless Love features real-life sweethearts Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera together with Dennis Trillo.

Other shows that were included in the top 10 most watched primetime shows in the Philippines include; Pilyang Kerubin, Kung Tayo’y Magkakalayo, 24 Oras, Magkaribal, Diva, Queen Seon Deok, TV Patrol World, and Rubi.

Hale is releasing their 4th single entitled ‘Magkaibang Mundo’ from their album Kundiman and the song’s music video which features the beautiful Angel Locsin, will have its premiere telecast this coming Sunday (July 11, 2010 at 8am) on MYX.

Glee gets 19 Nominations in the 62nd Emmy Awards

Official list of nominees in the 62nd Emmy Awards has been released and Fox’s hit musical-comedy series Glee received the most number of nominations in comedy category while in the drama category, it’s Mad Men with a total of 17 nominations . But regardless of the category, having a total of 19 nominations, Glee received the most number of nominations overall, in the prestigious Emmy Awards.

Yay Glee! Having that much nods from the Emmy’s, Glee (in contradiction to the show’s famous “L” symbol) is definitely no “Loser” at all! =)

Watch Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz’s Imortal Teaser

Imortal is ABS-CBN’s upcoming horror-fantasy series featuring Angel Locsin and John Lloyd Cruz on their first ever on screen team-up.

Not sure what the actual plot of Imortal but some says it’s a sequel to Angel Locsin’s Lobo. In this series, Angel Locsin plays the role of a werewolf who will eventually fall in love to a vampire John Lloyd Cruz. And we all know that in the supernatural world vampires and werewolves are mortal enemies so it’s a forbidden kind of love  that will defy their true nature. Hmm… that’s pretty exciting and at the same time intriguing plot huh? But again, just like I said, I’m not too sure if that’s really the plot. =)

FHM Philippines’ Sexiest Women in the World Revealed

FHM, the Philippines no. 1 men’s magazine finally revealed on their July issue the sexiest Pinays who made the cut and worthy to be included in their list of Sexiest Women in the World.

And this year’s winner, which had been chosen by Pinoys through an online voting held by FHM Philippines from April 1 to June 15 — where almost four million votes were casted — is no other than Angel Locsin.
