Baby Shower

So yesterday, me and my sister went to my high school friend’s baby shower and to my shame, we were the very last guests to arrive. Hahaha. In fact, all the other guests were already leaving by the time we reach the venue. So I was like saying to those guests I saw on my way in “Oh I was just dropping off my gift!” and on their eyes you see like “WTH? Do you know what time it is? The party’s over!” Lol. Okay Shame on me I know. But I’m really having problems with my sleeping habit. I slept like 5-6 in the morning already so I woke up super late (Excuses! :p) and I also didn’t expect will be caught up in a heavy traffic. Well I know, that it’s always traffic in the I-5 area but I didn’t expect it to be that jammed like it was that day plus I honestly didn’t know that the 91 East traffic is just as worst. It was our first time in that part of SoCal we don’t know much of the traffic situation there. We know no other route and we only have our Magellan GPS to guide us to our destination. And as always, expect Maggie (as what we fondly call our GPS since the voice is a SHE and no we can’t like change the voice of our GPS to that of Yoda’s :p) to always give you the easiest route but never the quickest way. Heehee.

Paranormal Activity 3

I’ve seen Paranormal Activity 1 and 2. Though I vaguely remember the details now. Lulz. But yeah, I remember liking the 1st movie more than 2nd one. Though I still couldn’t figure out what really haunted the two sisters. Anyway we’ll find out soon and finally we’ll know what really started it all because the third installment of the hit Paranormal Activity is set to have its release on October.

ABS-CBN’s Maria La Del Barrio Full Trailer

Maria la del barrio was suppose to air last summer but due to some unknown (well it’s unknown to me at least… heehee) reasons it was push back to a later date. But now the wait is over ‘coz finally its here. And after many months of delay, Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee’s Maria La Del Barrio is set to have it’s first run on local television this coming August. Probably to replace Mula sa Puso since it’s ending in three weeks. Anyway, I just hope the local version of Maria la del barrio won’t disappoint us. I really liked the Mexican version. And oh, Maria’s head accessory really reminds of the crown Jughead (Archie Comics) so fondly wear on his head. Heehee.

Maria la del barrio is the Philippine version of the Thalia’s Mexican hit Telenovela with the same title. Local version stars one of ABS-CBN’s hottest love team Erich Gonzales and Enchong Dee and directed by Rory B. Quintos. Watch Full Trailer of Maria la del barrio below.

The New Girl

I love Zoey Deshchanel! Ah yes, I love Summer and her lovely summer dresses on 500 Days of Summer? Though of course, my heart goes to Tom Hansen, I’m just really glad he sorta found his Autumn in the end. Anyway, so back to Zoey Deshchanel, I’ve been fangirling on her since I first saw her in the movie Elf.  Though I think the blonde hair doesn’t really suits her. But yeah, I really like that scene where she’s in the shower room or something and she starts singing Baby It’s Cold Outside then Buddy heard her then he kinda joined her… well joined her in singing of course! Heehee.

Anyway, I’m really excited that she’s kinda going mainstream now. Her new series “The New Girl” had been picked by FOX and is set to have it’s pilot come Fall. I think it’ll be aired every Tuesday night. Prolly before Glee? If that’s the case then my Tuesday night will be jam-packed with pure awesomeness!

The New Girl is about an Elementary School  Teacher who has been very unlucky with love. When she’d broken up with his boyfriend and left him, she decided to move in with three guy housemates — who sorta help her deal with her post-breakup depression and there begins their quirky but wonderful kind of friendship. Harry Potter Anime Version Fanart

This is just amazing. Props to whoever did this wonderful art. This makes me wonder what it’ll be like if the Harry Potter Series is really translated into anime. I bet it’ll be epic too! 🙂 Sigh… I believe I’m still experiencing the so-called  post potter depression syndrome. Not the chronic type though. Lol. Nevertheless, I need to undergo some Potter Withdrawal treatment soon and get my life back on track soon. Heehee. Suggest any good book to read?

Julie Anne San Jose’s Pricetag Cover

Wow Julie Anne is really an amazing singer and this is really a great cover. I remember seeing her being part of the kiddie singing group that performs on the now defunct Sunday afternoon variety show S.O.P. How long had it been since she was launched in Sugarpop? 5 years? 6 years? Whew… Time indeed flies. Heehee. And she’s all grown up now.

Oh well, I really love her cover of this Jessie J’s song. I keep on replaying it. 🙂

What’s with the hair R-Patz?

So I was browsing Tumblr the other day and when a sudden surge Comic-Con related photos appeared on my dash, one photo made me look twice. I was like, what on earth is he thinking? Oh yes, dear readers, I’m talking about Robert Pattinson. Have you seen his half-shaved head? I really couldn’t made up my mind as to why Robert Pattinson is now sporting such bizarre haircut. Bizarre as it may sound though, half-shaved hair is now the fad among brave and bold female fashionistas and I must say, most I’ve seen really did carry this bizarre trend pretty well. But with R-Patz, I find it a little off and it weirded me out a bit. Heehee.

Anyway, as I did a little more digging on R-Patz’s yet another hair-raising hair controversy, I found out that R-Patz actually have a valid excuse for this outlandish haircut. You see, he has a new film coming up (Cosmopolis) that sorta required him to shave his head in such manner. Hmmm… Weird film then, I guess? :p

I love Buckbeak’s theme and that part Edward Cullen gets slayed. Sparkly Vamp got owned! Lulz. Okay. Once upon a time I was so into the vampire in shiny Volvo but then again people change. And I’ve a change of heart. I now like the Viking Vampire more than the fairy Vampire. Pangarap Lang Kita JM De Guzman

Lol. Okay. This post is really a JM de Guzman appreciation post. Heehee. Liked the guy since I’ve seen him from ABS-CBN’s Midnight Phantom series. I mean what’s not to like with this guy? I believe he can act, well if not ABS-CBN won’t give him a starring role, right?  He’s cute, no doubt about that ‘coz it’s pretty obvious. And he can sing, in fact he has an album coming up  to be released under Ivory Records, no definite date yet to the actual album release though. But I was able to listen to his album’s 30-second teaser and I instantly liked his cover of Stephen Speaks’ Out of my League and Howie Day’s Collide.

Anyway, this is a music video for Parokya ni Edgar’s latest song I think, “Pangarap Lang Kita” featuring Happee Sy.  I’m just not sure if this is the official music video though? Oh well, what’s important we get to enjoy some few moments of JM de Guzman goodness on this video. :p Watch it below.
