How to Love Cover by Sam Tsui

Yet another cover of Lil Wayne’s How to Love song and this time  it’s by one of  my favorite Youtube singing sensation, Sam Tsui. :) First time I’ve seen him on Youtube, I was amazed. I was searching on Glee’s Rachel Berry and Finn Hudson’s cover of  Journey’s Don’t Stop Believing when I encountered Sam Tsui’s cover of  the said song. What is song amazing with his cover is that he did the vocals all by himself and had superimposed 5 Sam Tsuis on his Youtube video. But of course  that was made possible by his equally talented partner who mostly does the video editing and arrangement of his covers, Kurt Shneider. Together, these guys really do some amazing stuff  and their videos are definitely worth the watch.

Here’s Sam Tsui’s cover of How to Love by Lil Wayne.

Kim Chiu’s My Binondo Girl

My Binondo Girl is ABS-CBN’s upcoming romantic drama television series starring Kim Chiu, Jolo Revilla, Matteo Guidicelli and Xian Lim. My Binondo Girl tells the story of  Jade who pretends to be a boy just to gratify her Chinese father.

Other cast members of My Binondo Girl include Ai-Ai de las Alas, Gina Pareño, Cherrie Pie Picache, Glydel Mercado, Ricardo Cepeda and introducing Richard Yap and Laureen Uy.

My Binondo Girl will have its first run on local television this coming August 22. For the mean time, watch  My Binondo Girl’s full trailer below.

The dual-role, the girl pretends to be guy, kinda reminds me of She’s the Man and Coffee Prince but I think that’s as far as the similarities go. So I’m really looking forward to this new series and I hope I’d enjoy it as much as I enjoyed watching She’s the Man and Coffee Prince

DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO!

Just in time before the release of the latest Final Destination movie, Screened made a recap of all the casualties in all four Final Destination movies. Now before you click on the play button, please be warned that this video is not for faint-hearted. So if you’re squeamish and easily disgusted on ghastly and macabre scenes, do not watch this video. I repeat. DO NOT WATCH THIS VIDEO! This is not for the faint-hearted.

You’ve been warned.

The Amazing Spider Man Trailer

I  personally have mixed feelings on the Spider Man reboot. I love Tobey Maguire as Peter Parker/Spider Man and it just kinda hard to place a new face on Spider Man’s blue and red ensemble. Though of course, Andrew Garfield is nothing short of a pretty face and he sure can carry on wearing Spidey’s costume. But I still can’t get over the fact that Tobey is no longer the face of Spider Man. I got too attached with the face that I find the transition difficult to accept! Lol. Okay. I’m probably overreacting now whining like a crazy fangirl. So end rant now. :p

Anyway, here’s the trailer for the upcoming Spider Man reboot. Starring Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone, The Amazing Spider Man will have its premiere on theaters next summer (July 3, 2012).

Eat, Learn and Move

What happens when three guys — Rick Mereki, Tim White and Andrew Lees — traveled for 44 days in 11 countries covering 38 thousand miles with 2 cameras on hand  and a terabyte worth of footage later?

Three amazing short films that’ll definitely ignite your wanderlust.

This is what I want to do. Travel, see and experience the world. If only time and money permits. Sigh. But I’m not completely losing heart. Somehow, in the near future or so, I’ll make this happen. I’ll have my own trip of a lifetime. :)

First Look at the New Man of Steel

Okay so Warner Bros. had released the official first look of Henry Cavill as  the new Superman. Now what? Lol. I’m really not excited about the reboot because I’m really not a fan of Superman. Heehee. Though he’s probably the first superhero I’ve known ‘coz I believe he’s the most popular.

Anyway, I did watch some of the old Christopher Reeve Superman movies plus that of  Brandon Routh.  But yeah, that just it. Never really gotten to a point of becoming true Superman geek or something. But I did a little fangirling on Tom Welling at Smallville though. I dunno, maybe because it caters more to the demographic where I belong? Lolwhut? I probably would be more excited if they cast Tom Welling instead. And that would’ve been a perfect supplement to Smallville. Hmmm… Okay just a wishful thinking of a  Tom Welling fangirl here. No violent reaction please. :p

Anyway, here’s Henry Cavill on his Superman costume. :)

Bad Teacher

Bad Teacher, well that’s Elizabeth Halsey — a foul-mouthed, naughty and nasty junior high teacher whose dream of becoming a rich man’s wife crumbled when his no-good Oprah-obsessed fiance dumped her. Boyfriend-less and penniless, Elizabeth was left with no choice but to go back to the teaching job she dreads. Fortunately, as if the heavens saw her woes, she meets the new teacher Scott Delacorte — he’s handsome, he’s rich,  definitely her type. Now she’s up on her tricks to get him. But how can she get him notice her? Well, Elizabeth have it all sort out. All she needs is a boob job. Pretty easy huh? I don’t think so. Having no money to cover the operation plus a co-teacher who also eyes on her prospective husband, Elizabeth needs to step up her schemeerr... I mean she needs to step up her game. :)

Boyce Avenue’s For the First Time Cover

Yet another great cover by Boyce Avenue. I love these guys since I first heard them in 2007. Alejandro’s voice is just amazing. And personally, I like Boyce Avenue’s version of this song than the original version sung   The Script.  But regardless of who sung the song best, For the First Time is a great song. I love it to be honest and I really find it inspiring.

Tough times, I’m pretty sure we’re all having those times. Probably not just at the same time, but yeah we have those days.

Anyway, with all the recession and unemployment crisis going on around the world, this song is very timely. And just like what the song is trying to say, you  should not give up no matter how many times you tumbled down on the dirt. Always get back up, shake it off and keep moving forward.

You see, these hard times, they aren’t forever. They too have an end. We just have to be strong and carry on because it always get better in the end. :)
