Okay, after I’ve watched the teaser, my excitement dwindled. Unofficially Yours seemed like a cute romantic film, but honestly, it feels like the movie contained nothing we haven’t seen before. I wouldn’t say that it’s a 500 Days of Summer/No Strings Attached/Friends with Benefits rip-off though. I rather give it the benefit of the doubt since I’ve only seen the teaser. I mean remember the movie My Amnesia Girl? When Star Cinema first dropped its trailer, almost everyone assumed that it’s a 50 First Dates rip-off but it wasn’t. So let’s just wait and see for now. ;)

This movie will surely make you cringe like crazy as there were lots of mind-boggling bone breaking action. Lolwhut?  I guess, my mind’s not functioning well right now due to some disturbing scenes I just saw and which my brain is trying to process with difficulty. Hahaha. Sorry if I’m being gibberish or something.

So what is this movie all about? It’s about a daughter in search of her mother who is locked to some hospital in Italy. Her mother, who murdered 3 people 20 years ago, was believed being possessed by not only one but four evil spirits.

Anyway, the first time I saw the trailer for The Devil Inside was when we watched Paranormal Activity 3 on theaters back in November. It sure caught my interest then just as much it captured attention of all the other audience because at the end of its theatrical theater everyone applauded wildly.

Been listening to Jason Mraz’s latest single, I won’t give up, for almost an hour now. Yes, that’s how I’m crazy about this song. Hahaha. It is in repeated loop.

And I’m also very much in love with the music/lyric video. It’s visually inspiring. Lol. I hope that made sense. Needless to say, the video was creatively crafted. I love the way they put in the lyrics of the song. Plus I can’t help the feeling of nostalgia sinking in because of the of its very vintage theme. :)

It reminded me that harsh cold winter days aren’t forever. One day it’ll end. One day it’ll get better. So for now, all I need to do is to just keep moving forward. :)

And this time it features Talk N’ Text forward player Rich Alvarez and Philippine’s RnB princess Kyla. The couple tied the knot last November 28 at Santuario de San Antonio in Makati City.

Rich and Kyla’s wedding concept was vintage glam and color motif was blush. Kyla’s wedding gown was created by her couturier friend Cocoy Lizaso.

Kyla’s hit single “Beautiful Days” was used in the wedding video. The said song was written by the RnB princess herself. And when asked if she wrote the song specifically for her wedding, Kyla answered no but she definitely did think about getting married when she wrote it.

Whether it’s Greek, it’s Roman or it’s Egyptian, I really find it interesting. I’m easily engrossed  by the world of the gods and goddesses, of demigods and of pharaohs and magicians. And it’s really amazing how each culture may seem different but when you look at it closely you’ll see how connected and similar these cultures really are… So yeah before I completely lose my train of thought, if you haven’t seen the movie Immortals yet, stop reading now because I’ll surely spoil the movie to you.

Okay now, my thoughts on the movie? (I want to make this post as short as possible so I’m going to do this in bullets)

  • The movie did not suck but it wasn’t as epic as 300 and so I was disappointed.
  • Almost all the good stuff were shown on the trailer.
  • In true 300 fashion, you’ll also see half-naked men with almost perfectly chiseled abs. Not as many as 300 Spartans though but still you’ll get your fix.
  • Changed my mind about Theseus… err… I mean Henry Cavill. Now I think he’s perfect to become the new face of Superman! And in the most part of the movie, his gorgeous eyes bothered me a lot. Kept racking my brain trying to remember what other movie did I see those piercing gray eyes (woah! piercing gray eyes? now where did I get that? looks like it came from some erotic romance novels). Then it hit me. He was Edmond Dantes’ son in the movie The Count of Monte Cristo! He’s Albert Mondego! Hahaha. Okay. Sorry for overreacting. It’s just that I love that movie and the realization came to me like a eureka moment. =P
  • Percy Jackson Theseus killed the Minotaur. Not in the Labyrinth though but in some temple. =P
  • Theseus’ men were a bunch of cowards and so he resorted to some cheesy pep talk. Lol. Sorry for the harsh comment. Well I guess it’s just natural for his men to be afraid. I mean, they’re about to face death. So yeah…
  • The oracle, Freida Pinto, is the girl from the movie Slumdog Millionaire, right? Well I haven’t seen that movie yet. Heehee. Anyway, yeah she’s the oracle and it was Theseus who freed her from her curse (the gift of sight). =P
  • It was refreshing to see Joseph Morgan as the fragile and vulnerable and coward and traitor Lysander. Way different from the invincible vampire Klaus I see in TVD.
  • Hyperion is brutal and… gross… ;) )
  • Poseidon shakes my world! Err… I mean Kellan Lutz. He’s the earth-shaker.  Err no… Poseidon is the Earth-Shaker. And Kellan Lutz is my world-shaker.  LOLWHUT? =))
  • Love the bloodbath between the Olympian gods and goddess *heh* and the mighty titans. Love the visuals. Epic battle scene.
  • There are twelve Olympian gods/goddesses right? Not six. And the gods die? They’re suppose to be immortals, aren’t they? They get injured, they bleed but they don’t die. And their blood, it is supposed to be golden (ichor), isn’t it?
  • Poor mortals they got buried alive in Mount Tartarus. Lucky Theseus he made it alive and found his place with the gods.
Overall, I think the movie was okay. But I should’ve just saved my money and waited for the DVD instead.

But I’m neither a  fan of Jolina nor Mark. I like them but I’m not crazy about them. Though I have to admit that when I was younger, I did succumb to Jolina’s quirky fashion craze. I remember dyeing my hair streaks of blue and owning several butterfly trinkets and accessories. Lol. Yes. Outlandish I know. But that’s what in then.

Anyway, so after being in a relationship for I think two years Mark and Jolina got married last November 19 and 21 (yes not only once but twice =D They must’ve really love each other!). Many were surprised because it has been kept from the public. But the couple made it up to everybody by having a special feature of their wedding on TV. I wasn’t able to see it though. I don’t think they’ve shown it on GMA Pinoy TV yet. But I was able to find their wedding AVP’s and you can watch them below. So yeah, enjoy and watch :)
