I did my shopping mostly online so I’m still waiting for my items to be shipped. Anyway, so yeah, I braved the crowd at Target on Black Friday to get these DVD’s. When I say crowd, I mean a really huge crowd! The line outside the store was really looooong. My mom almost backed out but me and my brother convinced her to stay because we’re already there so we might as well go. Heehee.  Anyway, we weren’t really after the $200 42″ flat screen TV’s, just the DVD’s for me and whatever my mom and brother fancies. :)

The Vampire Diaries, Taken, Eclipse

I was actually after The Vampire Diaries (Season 1 and Season 2) DVD’s plus that of Spartacus (Gods of the Arena and Blood and Sand). Sadly, I was only able to secure the former. All Spartacus DVD’s were wiped out so I just got some random movies from the rack. Aside from TVD, I also brought home Taken in Blu-Ray (I love Liam Neeson!) and Eclipse (I lost my copy so I bought a new one). I also bought my niece a Caillou DVD’s which she’s already watching so I wasn’t able to take pictures of it. As for my Mom and brother, my Mom brought home a rice cooker (Yes we’re Asians! And we eat rice. A lot! Lol) and several bath towels and my brother got himself a gaming chair. :)

So there goes my Black Friday, a bit exhausting (because there’s a line everywhere!) but all in all it was a fun experience and it’s good there were no injuries because from what I heard to my Dad, somewhere in LA, a woman pepper sprayed customers to get a hold of the door buster deals in Wal-Mart. Now, that is one competitive and crazy shopper!

Not much the movie version though. Heehee. Anyway, so yeah imagine my excitement when the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender announced that they’re creating a spin-off of the said series. New characters and new experiences in the Avatar universe. That’s really something to look forward to. :)

So what’s the new spin-off series  and what it is all about? The Last Airbender: Legend of Korra, originally titled Avatar: The Legend of Korra, takes place 70 years after the end of the last series (Avatar: The Last Airbender).

Set in a steampunk style metropolis where the people now have the supernatural ability to control and manipulate the earth, air, water and fire elements, Korra, a hot headed, rebellious and independent young woman who descended from the Southern Water Tribe, is the next Avatar incarnating Aang.

Korra already mastered the Water, Earth and Fire element and only needs to learn airbending. And that’s basically where new series picks up. It’ll depicts Korra’s adventures as she learns to master Airbending and prove herself to be the only and true master of all four elements. Korra will learn airbending from Tenzin, Aang and Katara’s youngest son, and Korra will have  a Polar bear dog animal guide named Naga.

No definite date yet as to when is the release of new series. But it’s expected to air in Nickelodeon in mid-2012. For now let’s all be contented and watch the preview below. :)

Ah yes, I love Summer and her lovely summer dresses on 500 Days of Summer? Though of course, my heart goes to Tom Hansen, I’m just really glad he sorta found his Autumn in the end. Anyway, so back to Zoey Deshchanel, I’ve been fangirling on her since I first saw her in the movie Elf.  Though I think the blonde hair doesn’t really suits her. But yeah, I really like that scene where she’s in the shower room or something and she starts singing Baby It’s Cold Outside then Buddy heard her then he kinda joined her… well joined her in singing of course! Heehee.

Anyway, I’m really excited that she’s kinda going mainstream now. Her new series “The New Girl” had been picked by FOX and is set to have it’s pilot come Fall. I think it’ll be aired every Tuesday night. Prolly before Glee? If that’s the case then my Tuesday night will be jam-packed with pure awesomeness!

The New Girl is about an Elementary School  Teacher who has been very unlucky with love. When she’d broken up with his boyfriend and left him, she decided to move in with three guy housemates — who sorta help her deal with her post-breakup depression and there begins their quirky but wonderful kind of friendship.
