This is it! The most awaited John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin movie is here. Unofficially Yours is Star Cinema’s upcoming romantic film that is set to be released on theaters this February.

Watch the teaser below.

<edit>

Okay, after I’ve watched the teaser, my excitement dwindled. Unofficially Yours seemed like a cute romantic film, but honestly, it feels like the movie contained nothing we haven’t seen before. I wouldn’t say that it’s a 500 Days of Summer/No Strings Attached/Friends with Benefits rip-off though. I rather give it the benefit of the doubt since I’ve only seen the teaser. I mean remember the movie My Amnesia Girl? When Star Cinema first dropped its trailer, almost everyone assumed that it’s a 50 First Dates rip-off but it wasn’t. So let’s just wait and see for now.

Who wants to see some scary <del>shit</del> stuff? This movie will surely make you cringe like crazy as there were lots of mind-boggling bone breaking action. Lolwhut? I guess, my mind’s not functioning well right now due to some disturbing scenes I just saw and which my brain is trying to process with difficulty. Hahaha. Sorry if I’m being gibberish or something.

So what is this movie all about? It’s about a daughter in search of her mother who is locked to some hospital in Italy. Her mother, who murdered 3 people 20 years ago, was believed being possessed by not only one but four evil spirits.

Anyway, the first time I saw the trailer for The Devil Inside was when we watched Paranormal Activity 3 on theaters back in November. It sure caught my interest then just as much it captured attention of all the other audience because at the end of its theatrical theater everyone applauded wildly.

I love mythology. Whether it’s Greek, it’s Roman or it’s Egyptian, I really find it interesting. I’m easily engrossed by the world of the gods and goddesses, of demigods and of pharaohs and magicians. And it’s really amazing how each culture may seem different but when you look at it closely you’ll see how connected and similar these cultures really are… So yeah before I completely lose my train of thought, if you haven’t seen the movie Immortals yet, stop reading now because I’ll surely spoil the movie to you.

Okay now, my thoughts on the movie? (I want to make this post as short as possible so I’m going to do this in bullets)

The movie did not suck but it wasn’t as epic as 300 and so I was disappointed.

Almost all the good stuff were shown on the trailer.

In true 300 fashion, you’ll also see half-naked men with almost perfectly chiseled abs. Not as many as 300 Spartans though but still you’ll get your fix.

Changed my mind about Theseus… err… I mean Henry Cavill. Now I think he’s perfect to become the new face of Superman! And in the most part of the movie, his gorgeous eyes bothered me a lot. Kept racking my brain trying to remember what other movie did I see those piercing gray eyes <del>(woah! piercing gray eyes? now where did I get that? looks like it came from some erotic romance novels)</del>. Then it hit me. He was Edmond Dantes’ son in the movie The Count of Monte Cristo! He’s Albert Mondego! Hahaha. Okay. Sorry for overreacting. It’s just that I love that movie and the realization came to me like a eureka moment. =P

<del>Percy Jackson</del> Theseus killed the Minotaur. Not in the Labyrinth though but in some temple. =P

Theseus’ men were a bunch of cowards and so he resorted to some cheesy pep talk. Lol. Sorry for the harsh comment. Well I guess it’s just natural for his men to be afraid. I mean, they’re about to face death. So yeah…

The oracle, Freida Pinto, is the girl from the movie Slumdog Millionaire, right? Well I haven’t seen that movie yet. Heehee. Anyway, yeah she’s the oracle and it was Theseus who freed her from her curse (the gift of sight). =P

It was refreshing to see Joseph Morgan as the fragile and vulnerable and coward and traitor Lysander. Way different from the invincible vampire Klaus I see in TVD.

Hyperion is brutal and… gross… )

Poseidon shakes my world! Err… I mean Kellan Lutz. He’s the earth-shaker. Err no… Poseidon is the Earth-Shaker. And Kellan Lutz is my world-shaker. LOLWHUT? =))

Love the bloodbath between the Olympian gods and goddess *heh* and the mighty titans. Love the visuals. Epic battle scene.

There are twelve Olympian gods/goddesses right? Not six. And the gods die? They’re suppose to be immortals, aren’t they? They get injured, they bleed but they don’t die. And their blood, it is supposed to be golden (ichor), isn’t it?

Poor mortals they got buried alive in Mount Tartarus. Lucky Theseus he made it alive and found his place with the gods.

Overall, I think the movie was okay. But I should’ve just saved my money and waited for the DVD instead.

Trailer 2

Part of my Black Friday haul! I did my shopping mostly online so I’m still waiting for my items to be shipped. Anyway, so yeah, I braved the crowd at Target on Black Friday to get these DVD’s. When I say crowd, I mean a really huge crowd! The line outside the store was really looooong. My mom almost backed out but me and my brother convinced her to stay because we’re already there so we might as well go. Heehee. Anyway, we weren’t really after the $200 42″ flat screen TV’s, just the DVD’s for me and whatever my mom and brother fancies.

I was actually after The Vampire Diaries (Season 1 and Season 2) DVD’s plus that of Spartacus (Gods of the Arena and Blood and Sand). Sadly, I was only able to secure the former. All Spartacus DVD’s were wiped out so I just got some random movies from the rack. Aside from TVD, I also brought home Taken in Blu-Ray (I love Liam Neeson!) and Eclipse (I lost my copy so I bought a new one). I also bought my niece a Caillou DVD’s which she’s already watching so I wasn’t able to take pictures of it. As for my Mom and brother, my Mom brought home a rice cooker (Yes we’re Asians! And we eat rice. A lot! Lol) and several bath towels and my brother got himself a gaming chair.

So there goes my Black Friday, a bit exhausting (because there’s a line everywhere!) but all in all it was a fun experience and it’s good there were no injuries because from what I heard to my Dad, somewhere in LA, a woman pepper sprayed customers to get a hold of the door buster deals in Wal-Mart. Now, that is one competitive and crazy shopper!

First off, if you haven’t seen Breaking Dawn Part 1 yet, I suggest you stop reading here because I’m pretty sure I’m going to say things that’ll surely spoil the movie for you.

Now this is not a movie review. This is just me sharing my thoughts on the said movie. You see I’m no critic and I’m far from being one. I don’t criticize because I tend to be biased. And so I rant instead. Besides, my criteria of a good movie is pretty simple. As long as the movie moved me in one way or another and it didn’t bore me to death then I like it. I’m really not difficult to please. I watch movies merely for the entertainment.

So was I entertained by Breaking Dawn Part 1? Sure. I mean how can you not be entertained watching a socially-awkward-klutz seduce a morally self-righteous sparkly vampire, who after a hundred years finally had a decent haircut. And oh let’s not forget the visually-pleasing-hot-headed-shirtless shapeshifter, who takes the form of wolf, imprinted on a half-breed kid whose name is just… I don’t know… I can’t even… gah! I know that’s a lot to take in but yeah the movie pretty much entertained me. =P

Okay. Seriously speaking though, I’m expecting the movie to be terrible. Like really terrible and gross. But fortunately, it’s not. And the movie was actually… good. Okay. There I said it! Now hate me! Lol. Haters gonna hate anyway! But yeah, I liked it because it was true to the book and the baby delivery wasn’t that gross as what I imagined it would be. I hate most of the honeymoon scenes though. It was so awkward I couldn’t bear watching it! Awkward Edward and Bella is awkward. But In all fairness to Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, I think they did a pretty awesome job in those scenes because they handled awkwardness well. Though I really can’t help feeling sorry for both of them because they have to endure those scenes (the baby making and the baby delivery scenes =P) Stephenie Meyer had condemned them to do. Haha. Well atleast they’re rich and they’re famous now. And if it’s any consolation, the worst part of the book is over. They’re almost at the end of the franchise. So just one more film, Kristen, Rob and Stephenie Meyer can all call it quits forever.

Now unto the other things I like/dislike about the movie, I’m just doing them bullets because I’m lazy like that!

I love Charlie. I don’t care if you’re a Team Edward or Team Jacob, I’m Team Charlie all the way! Haha! Best Daddy award goes to him.

I like the wedding scene. Perfect garden wedding. I love the decoration so much. Edward and Bella’s vow exchanged was okay though I think it could’ve been better.

I like the reception scene where the relatives and friends gave their messages to the newlyweds — Charlie’s not so subtle threat (I really love the guy! Lol), Emmett’s sleepless message and Jessica’s hair comment (Anna Kendrick’s portrayal of Jessica is annoyingly like-able!)

I love how each member of the Cullen Coven had their “screen moments” that show their most strongest traits that has nothing to do with sucking blood— Carlisle’s devotion in saving lives, Esme’s compassionate nature, Emmett’s strength and sly innuendoes, Rose’s ultimate dream of becoming a mother, Alice’s love for everything fancy and pretty and Jasper’s unwavering discipline to overcome his bloodlust.

Jacob’s hotter than ever! Loljk. But yeah he is such an eye candy. ‘Nuff said. Haha.

I didn’t see Jacob and Rosalie banter much. I was kinda waiting for the dog/bloodsucker/blonde jokes. So I was a little disappointed. Maybe in the next movie they’ll show more of that.

The imprinting, I don’t really know what to say about that. Lol. But atleast Stephenie Meyer gave Jacob his own happily ever after.

Seth is lovable and Leah is not as annoying I thought she would be. She’s just a bitter ex-girlfriend, that’s all.

The wolf animation/effects or whatever you call it had gotten better. And I liked most of the Vampire-Wolf action sequence.

And my most favorite scene in the movie is the part when Bella is changing and healing at the same time. I love how she finally gets all pretty and dead. Lol. Seriously though, I like that part where memories of her short human life came to her in a flash back then in the background you can hear her heart beating slower and slower until it finally stopped. Total silence. I swear everybody in the cinema went still! Lol. It’s like nobody’s breathing. Meanwhile, I was trying to figure out and process how the hell Bella remembered that scene with her parents. I mean, how old was she then? 12 months? 11 months? 10 months? I think I’ve read somewhere that the oldest/earliest memory a person could have remembered/recollect mostly starts at the age of two. But then I’m not sure of its validity or whatever and since I’m not a brain expert, I therefore conclude that maybe it’s really possible to remember beyond that age (2 years old). Just that it’s rare. And Bella is rare (see Bella’s weird life choices and decisions – Vampire boyfriend. Shapeshifter BFF. Half-breed daughter. No to being a human. Yes to becoming a Vamp. Lol.). Stephenie Meyer made sure of that. =P I mean if her brain isn’t special how come Edward can hear everyone else thoughts but not hers.

The first official trailer of Snow White and the Hunstman starring Kirsten Stewart (Snow White), Charlize Theron (Evil Queen), Chris Hemsworth (Hunstman) and Sam Claflin (Prince William).

This is an interesting take to a classic fairy tale I so dearly loved. Darker and bloodier! =) And by just watching the trailer, I can personally say, Charlize Theron is an awesome Evil Queen! She pretty much aced her role! Can’t say the same with Kristen Stewart though. Heehee. I don’t know. I feel like the producers could’ve chosen a better actress to play the role of Snow White. Not that I undermine Kristen Stewart’s capabilities as an actress, but really it kinda looks to me that her facial expression remains the same regardless what emotions she’s trying to convey with the audience . What I mean is, her happy face is similar to her annoyed face or her angry face or her horny face so yeah, you pretty much get what I mean right? Plus she stammers. A lot! And that’s insanely annoying! =P

Anyway, here’s the first official trailer for Snow White and the Huntsman

Joseph Gordon-Levitt has a new movie coming out this week and joining him are Knocked Up’s Seth Rogen and Twilight’s Anna Kendrick. I just hope it won’t disappoint. I’m really looking forward to this film.

Anyway, 50/50 is about two friends whose lives were changed when one of them was diagnosed with cancer and now has a 50/50 chance to live. Basically, it’s a story of survival, of friendship, of love and of not taking life too seriously. Kinda like it teaches you to humor life and so when it gives you lemons, get back to life by making lemonade.

I won’t deny that I’m a fan of the series. I’ve read all four books more than three times. I waited in line for hours, out in the cold at night, for all three films, so I could watch them on opening night. Then watched the films again in theaters once or twice. I’ve collected all 3 DVD’s. I’ve collected all OST’s. And I admit mentally drowning Bella when she stupidly jumped off the cliff just so I could mentally have the 100-year-old virgin sparkly vampire in shiny Volvo all by myself. And that made me kinda mental too. But what the heck. I’m blinded with the sparks. And yes I’m a Team Edward because Jacob’s a jerk. ‘Nuff said.

Okay. So now that the new movie is coming out, I don’t feel excited anymore as much as I did before. I dunno. I guess people change and Twilight doesn’t appeal to me anymore. Though I’m really looking forward to the unimaginable and ridiculous way Edward delivered Bella’s baby out her fragile human body. But I’m positive there’ll be major alterations on that scene. They’ll make it appear like a “normal” delivery. Because just like what I said in the book it’s ridiculous and it’s gross and I don’t think people would want to see that.

And I think, since the movie was divided into to two parts, Breaking Dawn part 1 would probably climaxed on Bella’s baby delivery and Bella dying. Then on Breaking Dawn part 2 opening scene, they’ll cue in a blinding light, seconds later they’ll reveal the new and improved Bella – all sparkly and dead. Lulz. And they say everything is magnified when you turned into a Vamp, now imagine how enraged Bella’s hormones are.

Anyway, below is the full theatrical preview of the Breaking Dawn Part 1. Enjoy! =)

Taglish post ahead. =P

OMG! This! I want to see this movie now! Hahaha. Excited much eh? Oh well seriously, I really wanna see this movie. Teaser pa lang winner na! And the dialogues… wow… just WOW! Tagos hanggang buto. Lulz. Okay. I might be exaggerating a bit. But you know those movies? Those movies that leave memorable lines, kinda like that of Cherrie Gil’s famous copycat line, well this movie, No Other Woman, kinda have that same pamatay na lines. Sobrang panalo na I’m pretty sure it’ll be the “bukang bibig” of pinoys for quite sometime. And let me also add that the movie have this certain appeal that’ll surely leave an indelible mark in the minds of the moviegoers. You see it has the formula of a sure hit – exciting teaser, great lines, interesting story, two beautiful sexy ladies and one sexy hunk of a man. San ka pa! Kaya watch na! Well, just the teaser for now. Lulz.

Below are some of my favorite lines from the movie No Other Woman.

“Ang mundo ay isang malaking Quiapo, maraming Snatcher.
Maaagawan ka, kaya lumaban ka…“

“…tsaka ano ba ang mas madaling kalaban? Yung putang mahirap o putang mayaman?”
“Pare-parehong puta lang yon!“

At ang pinaka-winner sa lahat ng linya at ang pinaka-paborito ko

“I-pack up mo na ‘yang Lucy Torres mo! Ilabas mo na diyan si Gretchen Baretto! Anak ako na ang bahala sa red stiletto mo!”
