Shaira Luna. Gifted Child. The phenomenal Promil Kid. (Lol. That’s how I remember her!) When I was younger, I was so envious of her “gift”, I wanted to be like her. I mean at that time, with all the attention she’s been getting, who wouldn’t want to be like her? She was so popular! She’s been the talk of the town. Every parents dreamed of their children to be exactly like her. Everybody admires her for being so smart. And almost all kids at school, me and my sister included. =), would imitate her famous the-sun-is-the-center-of-our-solar-system lines.
But little did I know that her gift had actually become a struggle for her
After what it seemed like forever, Finally my sister retired and decided to just point the remote control to Correspondents, in which by that time had already started .It shows Karen Davila talking to who I thought was familiar but I hardly recognize the face. Then it came to me that the person being interviewed was Shaira Luna.
The Shaira Luna I know resembles nothing to the now-Shaira. Apparently, living her(Shaira) not-so-normal life was never easy. She became rather rebellious. She set aback her studies. Now she’s a Photographer. (By the way you can See her lovely works here.) Far more different from what I expected her to be. But it seemed to me that she’s very much pleased to where her life’ heading now. Oh well, let’s all be just happy for her.

My brother told me that he likes and yet this is was his exact words “Ang gaganda ng mga kuha or photos si Shaira Luna” by the time na he saw somewhere ata si Shaira then dun narealize na photographer na freelance si Shaira. I was shocked na yun ang work niya? And of course someone like her I also expect that she wouldn’t be involved in the art as part of her occupation but only a hobby. We also discussed about the genius people na napupunta sa arts as occupation. This is based on my observation na yung mga gifted nagiging graphic artist. At kung sino naman ang nakapag aral ng Arts siya naman nagiging sales representative other than that yung iba nagiging call center agent na rin at doon na sila nag eenjoy since they could earn money. Napag usapan rin naman ng bro ko kung bakit nagiging ganun at sabi nga niya na siempre nagsasawa na sila. Ako naman based on my observation and as what I’ve read she is rebellious it reminds me of something. Not that exact pero ang masasabi ko either magulo ang family nila or sila yung parating inaasahan or dinidiktahan sa career path nila. Like kung genius ka they expect you na maging isang successful and well known/popular Scientist.

Your photos are great…I too want to be a photographer once I get everything together…Even though Im 15 years old I still want to study to be a photographer…I really want to do portrait photography…but I also love doing freelance photographer…oh and by the way my name is Shaira too.
